This stand is really sturdy, and really convenient.
i used to go with to separate clamps but i lost a lot of time and space by doing so.
only con is that you cant move them in a V shape, as opposed to 2 separate holders.

Great piece of gear.
I use this as a double mic stand adapter. Solid as a rock, well built. Most happy with this.
