I bought my first hi-hat stand back in 2014 , now we are in 2023, and it still works great ,it looks brand new , the cymbal seat is made from metal so you don't have to worry anymore about breaking it during transport. And guess what I bought more of these during the years because they last for so long. A lifelong equipment in my opinion
