Expecting more from ESP
My experience with this guitar didn't start pretty great, as the delivery damaged the first guitar that and had to wait an additional month to get a replacement from Thomann.
That being said my expectations for this ESP was pretty high. I had issues getting the guitar to work on the first day after adding a battery and considered a return. Next day it worked without issues which was strange.
One of my cables was not making the correct connection to close the circuit for the active pickups. This makes me think that the output jack is not properly adjusted for some types of cables.
Another issue is the string stability in the tuneomatic bridge. The 6th string was always sliding downwards in its saddle which made playing frustrating. I had to grind a cavity for the string to sit better.
These types of issues should not exist for a brand new guitar, especially an ESP in this price range and it made me dissatisfied with this brand. I did not experience something like this with my other guitars (Harley Benton or Ibanez)
Looking past these flaws I would say its one hell of a guitar. The fishman fluence modern pack a serious punch. The guitar is well made and did not had any other visual defects on it. Since I play only in a classical position the V shape was a natural to me and it is the most comfortable guitar I played (the others being an LP and an ST shape).
