I like my kit to sound open and avoid dampening them as much as possible. These resonant heads are great. For all but exceptional situations, I can now play my kit (Yamaha Recording Custom RC9000) without any dampening thereby bringing out the full tone.

Great resonant head for a short resonant! My first try of coated head as a resonant one, but so far I really like the sound of my toms!
