You need them
As someone mentioned in a previous review, you don't know you need them until you use them.
I have tried using ball pen springs but those are soft and don't work really that well. These springs are the right size, the wire is very thick and they fit perfectly the strat bridge.
With the spring installed, the trem bar doesn't have any play and the bridge is very responsive.
Also, don't be afraid to tighten the bar until it has no play even thou initially you might be tempted to think it's enough.

Fender Tremolo Bar Springs
They are used for a 2 point tremolo on an Fender Player Stratocaster. The job done by the spring is awesome. Thank you Thomann.
