It's my first audio interface that I work with, at first I thought the highest buffer size and highest sample rate are the best... but then I tried hooking my guitar up to Amplitube 4 free and I had problems until I searched on google how to properly do it.
Had to buy a DI box to hook the signal from the guitar to the interface, not a big deal.
What I can say is that sometimes has a problem with discord, if my sample rate is ok 48k and the buffer size differs from 192, there is a popping sound occurring.
Other then that, I am happy with this acquisition, it's a great audio interface for the price, wish it had more inputs but I will upgrade later if I go down the producing/recording road.
Pros:
Small, compact, really easy to travel with along with a laptop/mac.
Really easy to set up, install
User friendly, customisable.
Direct monitoring feature is really nice
Cons:
The only problem would be discord not working on anything =/ 48k sample rate and 192 buffer size, but it's easy to fix.
Overall I am happy with it.
Really good for someone who would like to start producing music and not spending too much on gear.

Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen – The Go-To Audio Interface for Home Studios
If you're looking for a solid, no-fuss audio interface, the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen is one of the best options out there. Whether you're recording vocals, guitars, or producing music at home, this little red box does an amazing job without breaking the bank.
Build & Design – Small but Mighty
First off, the design is sleek and sturdy. The iconic red aluminum casing looks great on any desk, and it’s compact enough to carry around if you're recording on the go. The knobs feel solid, and overall, it’s built to last.
Sound Quality – Clean & Professional
This is where the Scarlett 2i2 shines. The preamps are super clean, and the Air mode adds a subtle brightness that makes vocals and acoustic instruments pop. If you're using a condenser mic, you’ll love the clarity.
The 24-bit / 192kHz AD/DA conversion ensures crisp, detailed sound, making it perfect for professional-sounding recordings at home. Whether you're tracking instruments or doing voiceovers, it delivers low noise and plenty of headroom.
Ease of Use – Plug & Play Simplicity
Setting it up is stupidly easy – just plug it in via USB-C, and you're good to go. No weird drivers or complicated settings. It has two combo inputs (XLR/TRS) for mics and instruments, and direct monitoring lets you hear yourself in real time with zero latency – super handy for recording.
The big volume knob for the monitors and a separate one for headphones make it really intuitive. No need to dig through menus – everything is right there.
Pros & Cons
✅ Fantastic preamps with Air mode
✅ High-quality 24-bit/192kHz audio conversion
✅ Zero-latency direct monitoring
✅ Durable and portable design
✅ Super easy to use
❌ No MIDI In/Out (if you use external synths)
❌ No pad button (-10dB) for louder sources
Final Verdict – Worth It?
Absolutely. If you need a reliable, high-quality audio interface for home recording, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen is one of the best choices out there. It’s got great sound, solid build quality, and a user-friendly setup, making it perfect for beginners and experienced musicians alike.
Final Score: 9.5/10 🔥

Very good for the price.
This is my first audio interface ever and I bought it to record my electric guitar. So far, I haven't had any real issues with it. Its build quality is very good and it also looks very nice. I haven't experienced too much noise using it. It does sometimes crackle when I play guitar with an amp sim inside my DAW and watch a youtube video at the same time, but I think this is normal for all audio interfaces due to an inconsistency in sample rate. All in all, I think this is a very good sound card for beginners looking to get started with music production or recording live instruments.

Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen
