Just the passive cabsim I needed

I had used many speaker simulation devices before. Lately, I was looking for a passive cabsim that is simple, thick sounding and voiced to a classic family of speakers - on short, doing the 4x12 green legend half stack. This is simply it, at least to my ear.

The build is compact and sturdy, has the options one needs: ground lift switch, brightness switch, volume padding switch and balanced output.

The only thing that could have been better is higher volume. I own a similar device that can be used with pedal level signal, not just power amp level. Due to higher volume overall, the signal to noise ratio is better.

Killer black box

I was amazed at how easy it was to get started. put in cables and neutral on the mixer. now the monitors sound like the cabinet!

tested with Friedman Be100 deluxe, 4x12 neo creamback.
there the center location and no attenuation (10db) worked very well

on guitar 2, Marshall Orgin 50 in blackstar st james cabinet, on this we used "off center" as it has a bit of plexi sharpness naturally to make the sound a little rounder and more bass. we dampened this amp (30db) to be able to drive the amp a little more.

it was a very cool band mix this way, with 2x you can also use both if you are only 1 guitarist.

great product at a reasonable price, then the live sound will be the same every time

This is a real problem solver. In 2 minutes you have your real amplifier set up so it can send a signal to FOH or audio interface. Amazingly easy to set up, and sounds great. Is it the same as a IR loader with advanced features? No. But in a live band mix, does it matter? Personally, I don't think so. You get a signal that is very close to what you actually hear from the amp/cab.
Very happy with this purchase.

Eine Top DI-BOX mit gutem Sound, wie zu erwarten bei Friedman.
Ich benutze sie in der Bandprobe ( kleiner Raum / kaum Dämmung ) für das Proben mit Kopfhörer.
Es kommt ein Top Sound über die Mixeranlage, leider kann ich nicht mit meinem Amp und dem Mic-NO-Mo ohne Boxensound trocken in den Mixer. Der Drummer und der Sänger haben mich somit auf Ihren Microphonen drauf , was den Mix erschwert.
Fazit: Tolles Teil mit super einstellmöglichkeiten. Ich hätte mir noch gewünscht das ich es mit oder ohne Speakerbox verwenden kann.
