Harley Benton HQS EL 12-52 Flatwound

I like these strings but I tried to put them in my jazz guitar and from two strings the ball fell off.I spent 1 hour trying to put the ball back with a custom way.I am disappointed cause they sound good but the edges on the ball are low quality.

These Harley Benton 12's were purchased for my Harley Benton Manhattan jazz guitar 🎸 , i kinda like how these flats give a smooth/dark and thumpy jazz sound. No issues with the HB strings range in quality. They are 12's so they will last a good while in my experience. Price very good for jazz strings. Currently playing with around 7 or 8 saxes (SATB) and bass, drums & piano and apparently cutting through the mix nicely 💪👍😊

If you like flatwound strings, these play and sound just as good as D'Addario chromes for a fraction of the price.

I bought these flatwounds for my Harley Benton TE40 which I use for playing bottleneck.. The quality is good, they stay in tune and they feel good to me.

One string snapped while putting them on, one of the “balls” I’m the end of the string fell off, and another unwound itself at the top, I’ve bought many roundwound strings, probably the worst I’ve bought so far

Very durable strings. I used them for weekly gigs, playing over five hours per gig, and they did not break even after six to seven performances. Sound-wise, they are ok, but their main advantage is durability rather than sound quality.
