This piece of kit, as fantastic as it is, will not transform your tone from a thin, weedy & whispy sound to a big, fat, lush one! You have to do that yourself over the years with correct embouchure & overtone exercises. What this does do, however, is make that big, fat, lush tone you have created over the years more stable in the higher registers, much the same way that a metal thumb hook does for the lower ones.
It’s an excellent addition for the already established player, one who can recognise tonal improvements & gradual changes to your overall sound. An additional bonus is that it provides you with a solid base for tightening the neck tenon, something that doesn’t always happen with the regular screws.
