I bought the Pearl SP-30 set as an upgrade to replace the legs on my Erx bass drum (which I had for over 10 years & finally began to show the signs of wear and tear, which concidering I gig average 120 nights a year isn't too bad at all.. Thank you Pearl !!
With slight modification which was drilling out the holes on the bass drum body ( the original had 3 screw holes for mounting the SP-30 has 4) and of course the vacuum cleaner at hand the new legs fitted on perfectly and even better, it was possible to cover the old screw holes with the mounting plate and body!
Needles to say I couldn't wait to try them and at the gig that night the new addition to my kit didn't disappoint!! The bass drum never felt so solid and with the simple lock positions & the twist out spurs I really felt I was welded to the floor!!
(..Always build your foundations on solid ground...)
In conclusion this is a fantastic product that I couldn't recommend enough for any drummer whatever level they are at!!
