Sommer is the best at its price

I bought this cable to make 3 pieces of 6 meters microphone cables. Used the same Hicon plugs that Sommer uses on their cables and I've cut the costs to half. It worth soldering on your own. The cables sound great after 2 years of use.

To me this cable is a no brainer. Best pf/m rated and cheap, on a findable test list online.

I boughts tens of meters so far and have been using it after switching from George L’s and Evidence hah

Too fat for my jack connectors but great cable

First attempt at making my own jack leads with this cable and I am happy with the results. The cable is extremely durable and well protected. The copper braiding is high quality and plentiful.

However the match with Neutrik NP2X-B connectors is not made in heaven. I should have read up about this beforehand but didn't. The cable is too thick to comfortably close the connectors tight. But not impossible. I ended up slicing some thickness off the cable to allow the connector to seat flush with itself. Even then it was pretty difficult to force the threads to close.

Still now it's done I'm extremely satisfied with the cable, it carries sound same as the pros and seems undefeatable.

Sommer Cables is one of my favorite for years now. This cable too shows the quality and care it's made with. I've tested and compared it to the XXL cable and noticed that I prefer the XXL. This cable has a very low capacity , which may be interesting for certain instruments. For Bass I prefer the XXL.
