Tama CB900PS Power-Strike Beater

I think this one is a step forward compared to the older version. I own multiple Tama beaters of different materials and sometimes the older version used to spin back. That issue is gone with this verision and I even prefer the sound of this one. I think this beater will suit most genres of music.

felt tip can get unglued but no problem to fix it. drum sounds more punchy with this beater. old 900 cobra pedal is better controlled also.

Very good beaters and i love that u can keep the red part hahaha and change it with something else if it wears out or something...like mine did my right beater got more than halfway inside (the felt part) which sucks but it took some good 6 months more or less of beating

had to change my old felt beater on my very old and trusty iron cobra! Just blew my mind. A more persistent tone and feeling!

Good overall beaters, they deliver a good punch without being clicky like metal/plastic beaters, medium to heavy in weight.

Although, the black felt/suede part of the beater isn't truly black, it's almost like an ink dye and it leaves an ugly stain on your beater, very noticeable even on Emad2 clears, so I am sorry for those who use coated heads. This is my second pair, I have the Tama Iron cobra double pedal and the first pair flattened after a year or so, so overall the quality could be better but they are good for their price and weight

i have the iron cobra double pedal and with this the pedal is softer and with more feeling in my foots...

I used to use taka felt beaters non stop but was getting frustrated at how quickly I wore through the beaters but they sounded great! This product is extremely durable and still has the high intensity attack while still producing the thumping low end from the bass drum ...

I love the Speed Cobra beater but needed something a bit softer. This beater is similar in sound as the old Iron Cobra felt beater but with a little more punch. But, the biggest plus is due to it?s design, the depth of the beater head. It hits the head a bit earlier altering the overall feel compared to the old IC beater. It?s a big improvement. Love this beater.

It's very light to play, but still has a powerful attack and punch at the same time. High recommend!

I ordered two since I am a double bass player and wanted a punchier sound, this one made it big time! I'm recording and performing with it and I love it!
