Thon Rack Drawer 1U 40

Ik gebruik deze lade om tuners, korte kabeltjes, schroevendraaiers, adaptorplugs etc... in te bewaren. Met 1U is deze lade niet zo groot en hij rolt ook maar voor de helft uit. Grote handen hebben moeite met de spullen achteraan in de lade te bereiken dus houd daar rekening mee als je een flinke knaap bent.

Goede afwerking, zwart gepoederlakt, maar de rand bovenaan waar je de lade opentrekt is redelijk scherp. Het opentrekken vereist enige kracht want de lade blijft van zichzelf heel goed dicht, een pluspunt!

Goed ding, doet wat moet, tegen een schappelijke prijs.

I use this for my guitar kit in the rack. First off - this thing is heavy! I'm guessing it's 18ga steel which, for me, doing single local gigs is serious overkill. I would suggest that they use aluminium. When its closed it stays closed and all slides are smooth. My main issue is that it only open about half way. With only 1U height it's impossible to get to the back of the drawer so it's really a waste of space.

This rack mounted drawer look like a good buy. Probably not the best quality available to mankind, but reasonable price makes this a good buy. The one I bought touches the bottom of the rack slightly, when mounted, so it makes a nasty sound. I guess this will go away with some time.

It's not exactly super cheap, but the building quality is really good. Much heavier than I expected, which I'm totally ok with. I mounted it on a Zaor Miza 88 and it looks great.
The problem is that it doesn't open all the way, so it's extremely hard to reach stuff at the bottom of it, and my hands are not particularly big.

I mounted it with the sennheiser EM2050 with same rack. It is good for store and tidy up the little thing such as mic clip, beltpack and so on. Just one disadvantage, it is quite heavy.

convenient to put small parts

Have this under my patch bay, housing mainly patch cables.
Solid construction with nice roller action, rack draws really make a nice professional touch in your studio but like a lot of comments on the internet the cost is a deciding factor in most cases. That being said if you can make the funds available I would recommend the Thon brand.

Arrived slightly damaged, a small piece of corner was dented. It turned out to be quite heavy, which makes the rack case quite heavy. Bodypacks don't fit. The plugs of the sockets will not fit. Quite narrow.

Good and solid.
Useful if you don't have room for a 2U version.
It's quite deep.

This is a quite nice drawer. Feels solid and robust. Maybe a little on the heavy side but that's not a problem for me. Unfortunately it doesn't open all the way. Would have been nice if it had mounting brackets in the back as well.
Also Adam Hall 87 Inlay fits this product reasonably well.
