Ultimate HYM-100 QR

Compré el soporte Ultimate HYM-100 QR junto con el adaptador de liberación rápida Ultimate QR-1 para montarlo en un Ultimate AX-48 Pro, como parte de la configuración de mi nuevo proyecto musical Kúu Music Experience.
Quería usar este brazo para colocar un sinte ligero (Arturia Minifreak) en una segunda altura.
Después de montarlo, me encontré con un problema importante:
el brazo tenía un balanceo lateral constante, incluso bien apretado.
En mi caso ese pequeño juego hacía que el teclado se moviese demasiado para trabajar o tocar en directo con comodidad. Revisando el montaje descubrí que la causa no era el HYM-100 QR, sino el adaptador de liberación rápida QR-1, que añade inevitablemente un poco de tolerancia entre piezas. Este juego es normal por diseño en sistemas “quick release”, pero no resulta ideal cuando necesitas una plataforma estable para un teclado.
La solución fue quitar el QR-1 y montar directamente el HYM-100 QR sobre el Threaded Adapter del AX-48 Pro.
Una vez hecho esto, el brazo quedó completamente firme, sin balanceos y con la estabilidad necesaria para un sinte o controlador.
Creo que es importante comentarlo para futuros compradores:
Si quieres cambiar accesorios rápidamente, el QR-1 es práctico.
Si necesitas máxima estabilidad, sobre todo para instrumentos musicales, es mejor montar el brazo directamente roscado y prescindir del QR-1.

Habe mir die Halterung zur Erweiterung meines 2-fach Keyboardständers Adam Hall SKS-22 durch eine "3. Etage" gekauft, da vom Thomann Support als kompatibel zum Ständer empfohlen. Statt des vom Hersteller vorgesehenen Notebooks kommt zieht bei mir allerdings ein dritter Synth - eine Novation BassStation II - auf diese neue Etage ein.

Zwar würde ich dem Ständer in dieser Anwendung als "3. Etage" nur leichteres Equipment wie modernere Notebooks und kleine / leichte Keyboards anvertrauen, das aber lässt sich recht zuverlässig arretieren. In anderen Anwendungen oder als "Tischständer" würde ich ihm mehr Gewicht zutrauen, der er selbst wie auch seine Befestigungseinheit ist ordentlich stabil verarbeitet.

Über das mitgelieferte Zwischenstück lässt er sich auf die Schraube für Mikros etc. aufschrauben - und das sogar mit Gerät drauf oder/und an der Wand stehend: Die Verschraubung funktioniert auch, wenn kein Platz zum Drehen der gesamten Halterung vorhanden ist.

Nach dem Auspacken verströmte die Halterung einen kräftigen chemischen Geruch (a la Vulkanisieren), der einige Tage anhielt. Dies ist der einzige echte Abzugspunkt meinerseits bei einem so hochwertigen Gerät.

Würde ihn wohl auf jeden Fall wieder kaufen.

This holder is advertised as a laptop/Dj stand. So I bought it to hold a small 8 channel mixer on my side.
It was absolutly perfect for my use, and the mixer (SoundCraft EFX8) fits into it like a glove and is securely held by the two clamps in the front.

The only problem is the "braking" mechanism. The whole system "locks" and is held in horizontal position by fastening a screw, which in return, closes down (or presses down) a small plate (really tiny comparing to the size and weight of the whole system). The small plate has four "teeth" which when pressed down, locks the system in place and it seems to be made out of a softer cast metal and even not steel.

For some moderate lightweight items such as a small laptop, it perhaps could be sufficient, but even the smallest mixer is at least a few times heavier than a regular laptop (in my case the EFX8 weighs around 4,5kg), and added to the weight of the system itself (it's not light), you can imagine the amount of strain those long arms put on those tiny little teeth which are supposed to hold the entire system horizontally. Even after just a few tests at home, it started to show some signs of wear and tear on the locking "teeth", so it wasn't difficult to imagine that it won't last forever and one day eventually those teeth will wear off and it won't be possible to lock it in place. And if those teeth wear of, which they eventually will, then the entire system collapses down with whatever gear you may have on it. I wouldn't want to see this happened during the concert.

So I tried to communicate with the company to find out whether it's possible to buy a number of spare "brake plates", so to be able to change the brakes whenever it starts showing the sings of wear and tear. Unfortunately they only redirected me to another website, saying they don't provide information. I tried the other websites and never received a response.

I finally decided to return the product and bought another holder from K&M, which despite being the third of the price of this, it is many times sturdier.

Thomann as always did a phenomenal job with their great customer service and fast shipping.
