How much does a tuner Boss TU-2/TU-3 cost? Let me tell you. It's more than this pedal.

For less than the price of a tuner, you get a multi fx processor with many amps cabs and effects, an IR loader, a NAM loader (with lossy conversion), a drum machine, a bluetooth backing track streamer, a chromatic tuner, and an audio interface.

Of course, all these features do not have the best quality in the world, but everything must be related to the price. And for this price, you get so much at a more than decent quality.

It does have some cons: some sensitive players might find it's latency a bit high (somewhere around 5.3ms, source Leo Gibson on youtube), it has only one footswitch and if you want more you need a usb midi controller, and i haven't tried this yet, but I heard it's not a true bypass. But given the price, does all of this matter? I'd argue that they don't.

You a total beginner looking for your first rig? Forget the boss katana 50. This is 3-4 times cheaper, you just plug your headphones in it. You want a speaker? You get an FRFR one plus this and it's still cheaper than a katana 50. You get this, an FRFR speaker and some flat headphones, you'll prob hit the price of the katana 50. But you get soooooo much more.

You are already an established player? Why not get this for practice? You can dial in a cool sound in one minute (or just use the factory presets which are pretty good) and just practice. You can stream a backing track or songsterr with the guitar muted right from your phone.

You are a live musician? Why not put this in your backpack and use it when your main gear gets broken or stolen. You just saved the gig with something that costs less than a tuner.

Do yourself a favour and buy this. This fits in every use case.

L-am cumparat pentru a-l incerca cateva zile pentru ca l-am prins la reducere si eram curios de multa vreme sa vad despre ce e hype-ul peste tot, dupa care l-am returnat deoarece doar am vrut sa imi fac o idee de cum suna si ce e pentru a merge pe un model mai inalt, dar am ramas sincer impresionat

Pro:
-constructia super solida, full metal, switch-urile s-au simtit foarte bine si solide, cat si inputurile si output-urile
-preseturile au sunat foarte bine, unele erau super altele mai meh, majoritatea au mult reverb dar se poate regla din aplicatie, presetul metallica si evh chiar mi s-au parut super si mai erau mai multe clean care m-au impresionat
-atat timp cat e conectat la o sursa 9V prin barrel, se poate inregistra prin usb C in voice recorder app in samsung
-aplicatia in sine super responsiva si schimbarile au loc rapid in pedala
-e micuta si adorabila :)) simt ca faptul ca e micuta si ca suna atat de bine chiar m-a inspirat sa cant mai mult, chiar e super exciting
-audio backing track prin bluetooth chiar e util
-latenta nu mi se pare un minus, mereu aceasta unitate e comparata cu tonex one si mereu se spune despre latenta de 1-2ms a lui tonex si 4.5-5 ms a lui gp5 (nu am facut eu masuratori, spun ce au masurat altii). Chiar am incercat sa caut/sa simt o latenta si ok, poate a fost ceva, poate a fost placebo (pot canta repede si sa incerc sa caut un fel de dragging/latency) dar a fost ceva minim/nesemnificativ, poate altii sunt mai sensibili decat mine si nu prea pot justifica tonex one la pretul asta
-reverb-ul pare sa fie destul de deep, am cautat ceva similar cu reverb-ul plate de pe zoom g1x four si ok, nu e tocmai la nivelul ala, dar e cam 85% din ce e reverbul de la zoom

Contra:
-nu chiar un contra, dar nu cred ca merge alimentata strict prin usb C din telefon, adica merge o perioada pana cand niciun control onboard de pe pedala nu mai raspunde, sau aplicatia de pe telefon, dar e o chestie mai mult software ca daca se deconecteaza de la power si se pune iar in priza/in usb C se aprinde iar si totul e ok, pana se intampla iar dupa cateva minute, nici de pe un incarcator samsung prin usb C nu a fost diferit, dar am inteles ca daca dau reset din fabrica la unitate, ar trebui sa rezolve problema asta, dar n-am apucat sa testez in detaliu chestia asta
-nu tocmai un contra dar asa e design-ul pedalei, nu ai mult control onboard pe pedala, ai nevoie de aplicatie obligatoriu pentru a configura preseturile, de aceea modelul gp50 pare mult mai atractiv

overall mi s-a parut ca e mult mai usor de configurat si de atins un ton playable de metal decat pe alte unitati gen boss gx10
