Vandoren Java Green Tenor 3.0

So this is my number one reed type in my collection ranking. Java Green produces a versatile, expressive and powerful sound, at the same time it is easy to handle and it responds in a way that provides you the tone you need at specific circumstances, so really extended posibillities here. I use this as my primary reed for all my studio recordings , all kind of styles , being easy to adjust from classics to modern. I would recommend it as a blind buy. Just make sure to order different strengths , as they are softer and easier than Vandoren Traditional blue. For a mouthpiece opening between 5-7 i would go with 2.5 or also 3 strength, whereas for hard metal 1.5 to 2.5 max.
