Zoom iQ7

My first impression was that this is rather cheaply made. Where the speakers attach is pretty flimsy & allows for a bit of give. However after a few uses, I now feel that it was done intentionally & is perfect! The give in the soft plastic could really save the lightning connection from being snapped off.
It's really nice to not have to lug around my H4n recorder to get a decent recording of practices, concerts or any videos!
This is my favorite phone accessory by far!

almost impossible to have it properly connected to the phone. disconnects very easily. cheap plastic. very disappointed.

Not a mic for recordings needing high detailed reproduction, But a great emergency tool for iPhone owners that travel. Low weight at the cost of feeling a bit plastic.
At this price range and for mobility M/S is a good way to go for flexibility in post.

Great device, but a bit too fragile.

You have to be careful on how you hold your phone/pad and on how you put in on a stand.

The audio quality is great and the app too.

No matter how I set it, all the recordings I have done with this Zoom iQ7 deliver a quite weak, grainy, noisy signal. I gave it several chances but had to stop using it after a while. Life is too short to use a bad mic.
