Too small for big fingers
tonishere 10.11.2020
For me was not god choice as I overestimate it size. Otherwise it's very good from material and sound perspective comparing to some other picks

Not quite the right Jazz III for me
Colin616 23.09.2017
I have been using Jazz III picks of various kinds for the last 5 years or so and have tried most of the variations (Red, Black, Eric Johnson, John Petrucci, Ultex, Maxgrip, XL).
Up to this point, I had been using either the Eric Johnson or Ultex version but thought I would try something different. I like the shape and size of these tortex picks, but the edge geometry of them has sent me back to my usual Ultex. Compared to a standard Jazz III, the tortex version has a very square edge, not bevelled as the rest of the range. I have become very accustomed to the feel and tone of the Ultex bevelled edge, and these tortex don't give you as smooth an attack as with the bevelled edge. I also miss the raised lettering of the other models, as the smooth surface of the tortex doesn't offer as good a grip - they feel slightly slick in my fingers.
Overall a quality plectrum, but just not right for me.

I bought these picks because I thought they would be just like the regular Jazz III picks only made out of another material, I really enjoy playing with Jazz III picks and always loved the tortex grip so I thought it would be the perfect combination. When comparing to the regular Jazz III picks, the tortex ones have much more sharp edges, which makes the pick not slide so well on the strings like the regular Jazz III picks, this means you have to apply more pressure on the strings making the playing not so effortless. However after a week of playing the edges will get duller and the pick will slide much better on the strings, similar to the Jazz III picks.

They are very nice picks, i do like playing with them, however do not expect them to be just like the regular Jazz III picks but made out of a different material.

I prefer 1.14 , those are great for tighter stuff metal playing though
alexlotta 17.10.2022
As title say . I preferr the 1.14 tortex for general hard rock ,heavy /bluesy rock . For tighter rhythm playing or "stiffer Solos" ( like, fast "heavy " scales as in modern metal , not bluesy if you get what i mean) they are a good choice . As they sound definetely tighter ( think at a "master of pupperts rhytm" part , i noticed they are more tight sounding )
