Gibson ES-335 Dot 60s Cherry

I have an ES-335 Satin Cherry, which is an exceptional guitar! I really wanted to have a glossy ES-335 in the classic '60s color, so I ordered one—but after 24 hours, I sent it back. The guitar looked stunning, but I was unlucky enough to receive one that was poorly set up and extremely heavy (almost 4 kg!).
Even though it sounded great acoustically, it would have required a lot of adjustments to bring it to a decent level. When I compared the Satin Cherry (which is super light - 3.2 kg, extremely well set up, and has a very comfortable neck) to the glossy '60s model, I had the same feeling I experienced when comparing a Gibson to an Epiphone… Unfortunately, it's a lottery—so it is absolutely need to be tried and compared before buying. Not all Gibsons are fantastic!
