r
best guitar for beginers
Just got this guitar a few days ago and I'm genuinely impressed. For the price (under €150 with shipping), it's one of the best entry-level Strats you can buy right now.
Pros:
Looks killer – the white finish with black pickguard is clean and premium-looking, way above its price range.
Neck feels great – slim Modern C profile, fast and comfortable, no sharp fret ends, smooth fretboard.
Stock Roswell single-coils sound surprisingly good clean: bright, sparkly, nice quack on positions 2 and 4. With a decent plugin (Amplitube, Bias FX, Neural DSP) it handles crunch, blues, rock and indie perfectly – doesn't sound cheap or thin.
Lightweight (~3.3 kg), easy to play standing for long sessions.
Hardware holds tuning well (Gotoh-style tuners), tremolo is functional for light use.
Setup from factory is decent – just needed a small truss rod tweak and fresh strings (I put 10-46 D'Addario).
Cons (being honest):
Pickups are average – good for starting, but you'll want to upgrade to Seymour Duncan or similar after a few months for more dynamics and output.
Tremolo isn't great for heavy dive bombs (but who buys this for that anyway?).
Glossy finish shows fingerprints fast – wipe it often.
Verdict:
9/10 for the money. If you're a beginner, intermediate or need a cheap gig/backup guitar – buy it without thinking twice. With a small setup and pickup swap later, it becomes a keeper for years.
Thomann delivery was fast and safe – highly recommended!
