Ibanez SR300E-IPT

This is my first bass. I've been playing guitar for more than 10 years and since i started playing bass (about a year ago), I've been borrowing numerous basses but none felt as comfortable as this one. It has a skinny neck that fits very well with a guitar player's hands, it holds tuning well, the intonation can be precisely set even for lower tuning with the appropriate strings (I'm playing in drop B, drop C and C# standard with .130 .100 .080 .060 strings).

The active EQ is very useful for fine adjustments during rehearsals or whenever you play with other instruments; I make my tone on the amp with the bass's EQ set on middle just the way i like it to sound and while playing with the band i adjust the bass's EQ so that it sounds good together with the other instruments.

The finish and the shape of this bass are also nice. It has the aspect of a very polished rock. The finish looks a bit like iron ore to me, which i like. The weight is very well balanced (it stays in the right position while strapped - you don't need to waste any energy holding the neck up).

Best bass i tried in this budget range.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this bass!
