Good, but needs changes to work properly

After trying the solutions listed here (adding some extension to the small sponge) things have somewhat improved, but still the playability was bad.
So I've reverted to the factory setup and started from there.

* Intro.
There are two sponges inside the kick pad. A big one positioned centrally, covering almost 60% of the pad surface. Its sole purpose is to absorb kick pedal beater kicks
The second one positioned near the rim is a small cylindrical one connected to the piezo. This is used to transmit the kick to the sensor.
The small sponge is glued to a rectangular plastic base on which the sensor stands. The rectangular base is secured to the pad body with 4 screws.

* Factory setup (incorrect setup, bad playing experience):
- The big sponge is above the pad rim with about 3 millimetres
- The small sponge is below the pa rim with about 5 millimetres.
- The mesh makes contact only with the big sponge.
What this means is that any kick is absorbed instantly by the big sponge, thus not allowing the mesh to transmit the kick to the small sponge => no input registered by the piezo sensor.

* What I needed was:
- the big sponge to be below the rim with about 2-3 mm (to allow the mesh to transmit the kick to the small sponge)
- the small sponge to be above the rim with about 2-3 mm (direct contact to the mesh so that the kick shock is registered)

* What I've done:
- sanded off the big sponge until was below the rim
- small sponge: raised the base of the sensor with longer screws and with adding extra spacers (plastic or rubber are best) until the small sponge was above the rim

Now the playability is great, the kick pad registers now soft hits, and the pad rebound is great. Doubles are fun again.

Good kick pad but I had to adjust a few things.

I hope Thomann will take note of my review, it can be extremely helpful for quality control.
So,
Playability - Great, I'm using this with my Roland Octapad and my Gibraltar double pedal, so now you can take note that it works perfect for double pedal.
Construction is very strong, nothing to complain.
Noise emission, yes you will have some knock knock noise but nothing extreme, definitely the fact that this is a mesh head helps a lot reducing noise. If you place it over a carpet even less noise.

Cons - Why I'm giving two stars in Quality?
Ok, quality is not bad at all, it is great but the reason why I'm giving two stars is because I had to open it and make some modifications to fix a problem, which not every person would know how to fix.
I started playing and there was almost no response, almost no volume, but Im experienced in this ( I had the same problem with the Millenium mesh head Snare drum ) and so what happens here is that inside the pad, there is a sensor, this sensor has some centimetres of soft padding (sponge like) which are supposed to touch the mesh head, so it would sense every beat from the kick pedal, but the problem is that such padding (sponge) is not long enough to touch the mesh head, well it touches it but not firm enough, so you play and it is like you are not hitting hard enough, so what I had to do is that I opened the pad, I added a few extra centimetres of sponge, I cut it the same size and shape and pasted it with super glue, put back the mesh head and now it sounds amazing, now it has the right amount of sensitiveness. This is all the same what I did with the snare drum, some models have a velocimeter that you can adjust with a screw, to lower or to higher the sensitiveness or let's say, volume, but that didn't help, I needed to add extra sponge.

Well I hope Thomann team will take care of this detail because not everybody would figure out how to fix this, many people could end up thinking that it has a poor performance or could end up sending it back, but any other than this, the kick pad is amazing, responsive for double kick pedal, strong and so on.
I'm planning to order soon black colour mesh head for this kick pad and for the snare drum so they look cooler together with my Roland Octapad.

Thank you Thomann team for great customer service, fast dispatching, fast delivery.
This product went to Saint Petersburg, Russia, arrived in less than 2 weeks.
Greetings.
