Good for what it is
I was looking after a deep sounding drum to use for teaching workshops and for using in certain musical contexts. Hitting the rim does not have the high pitched pop of a goatskin expensive framedrum but it's still distinct enough for it to sound well, depending on what you use it for. The big bonus is that it is unaffected by weather conditions such as humidity.
