Awesome plug-in!
Whether you are a band without a drummer, a drummer with e-drums or a solo artist, this plug-in is great for any purpose.
While SSD also has a free version, the sounds tend to get boring after a while of hearing the same kick and snare over and over. But the full version gives you so many great sounds, that you can layer, mix in the plug-in, or route out in your DAW for more control and putting on other EQs, Comps and effects.
It also comes with a lot of presets for each genre: Metal, Jazz, Pop, and even some electronic samples for those who want to experiment layering.
You can also change the midi notes for each instrument if you have E-drums, so you can assign sounds differently (like asigning another snare to the tom rim)
Overall a great product, if you have the money and the need for it, I highly recommend it.
