Strymon Big Sky e una dintre cele mai bune pedale de reverb care exista. De ce? Poti face ce vrei cu ea cand vine vorba de reverb, incepand de la swell si cloud pana la room si hall. Cand vine vorba despre pedala asta eu sunt de parere ca orice chitarist trebuie sa o aiba. Folosesc mult pedala cantand worship si nu mai am nevoie de pedala de volum pentru a face swells. Ca si design, arata impecabil si foarte elegant.

You get what you pay for

as the title suggest, you get what you pay for, but this is very good news in this case - the effect is top quality, and it is considered the best reverb around with good reason. I use it with synths or mostly with a theremin, and the resulting sound is full, rich, and classy. I haven't used the spring reverb that much, but that's because of my personal option (I'm not a big fan of spring).

The best I've heard

I was in search for a pedal that could do everything from subtle spring reverb to huge modulated hall reverbs and Strymon Big Sky does that and so much more. This pedal is packed with a lot of cool sounds. Not only do they sound amazing but they are really useful and easy to manage.

For ambient sounds and such I use bloom, cloud, chorale, shimmer and swell. They all have their own purpose in my sound and all sound really great! Shimmer combined with a volume pedal gives great synth-like swells. For my regular playing I use mostly spring and plate reverb and they sound great as well, I usually just turn the reverb on my amp to 0 and use this instead.

Pros: wow, where do I start? The sounds that come out of this thing! The size and weight, lighter and smaller than expected, I am still amazed by the greatness in the sound you get from such a small source. The patches and how easy they are to store and tweak.

Cons: the only thing I can come up with is the price, but I can see why now that I own one myself, and it is worth it. Studio-grade reverbs in a stompbox is all I can say.

Summary: If you use different reverbs, need the great sounds that this box produces, need the ability to store patches and have the money, don't hesitate!
