tc electronic Afterglow Chorus

I acquired this pedal purposefully for the wide range of settings it has. Already having owned a different product of this type, which cannot be found on the market anymore, I knew I need all the three controls, Depth, Rate and Speed. Because these controls can provide one with a lot of effects that a chorus circuit is actually capable of: chorus itself, a ringing effect similar to that of a harpsichord or sitar and vibrato. I have checked the maximum modulation LFO speed in online demos and that made my mind.

Its EQ is flat, do not expect it to blow your mind when plugging it in, but this is what makes it more versatile. By itself, it may sound too dull and warm for the stereotypical chorus we have in mind, but adding the right amount of treble in the signal will make it soar on your own terms.

This pedal doesn't suffer from the volume drop of other effects in the series, it can actually sound vaguely louder at max settings.
