Good and light
It's light, it sounds good and it's easy to grab and hold for long sessions (I've used it for +1h sessions and I didn't get tired). It has a good grip in the back but it seems, in time it might lose that good grip material as it seems a bit too loose and not so much resistent.
The wood is certified from Indonesia.
The stick seems resistent and has a very good bouncing. I would strongly suggest it. I have tried another octagonal drum (also from thomann) it sounded a bit better (on a lower note comparing to this one) but it was very heavy to hold.
I would strongly suggest this model. Good value for money!
