Thomann TR 800 L MKII Bb-Trumpet

This trumpet looks beautiful, perfectly finished, but it does not play that great, at least not for me. Having a L bore, reversed leadpipe, a rounded tuning slide and a slightly larger bell, the sound is big, dark, but with less core and does not project like a ML bore with a standard bell. It is free blowing with easy high register, which makes it good for jazz and lead playing. Response is fast, but it takes more air and requires more control than any ML bore I've played, so it won't be a good fit for beginners. It feels solid in your hands, it has good valves, intonation is pretty good and the perfectly finished abalone shell finger buttons are very nice and fancy. It feels like a professional trumpet, not like a cheap one, so it's a great choice for the money, if you feel that this horn is what you're looking for.
