Amazing guitar,i love it!

I recently bought Yamaha Pacifica 112VMX as my first electric.I had an old classical guitar before,and going from fret buzz and lots of problems to this was so shocking! Yamaha's build quality is amazing.They always have strict quality control and quality products.The VMX variant looks so good, actually better than i expected it to look.It has the same quality as the V or VM version,as the only change in it being the wood on the body and the black pickguard.It has great tonal versatility and quality pickups.Feels really comfortable in your hands and it's not very heavy, weighing only ~3.5 kg.I'll consider buying another Pacifica after this, honestly.

My first unit came with faulty pots from factory. I got the whole unit replaced. The sound was really really nice. The second unit had the same issues+different finish that was rough to the hand. For the money I recommend getting at least one with a glossy finish. I ended up getting a SH guitar from my area.

Something is off

This was the most expensive item in my order, so I had pretty high expectations. Overall, I’m happy with the guitar, but there were a few things that disappointed me.

It looks absolutely beautiful, with a really nice and distinctive finish. It’s quite heavy (which is a good thing), very comfortable to play, and the soft strings respond really well to picking, making it a great choice for beginners. The pickups do their job well too, each position sounds clearly different, with noticeable changes in tone.

However, the guitar I received had quite a few signs of use and scratches. I also noticed some red wires slightly sticking out around the humbucker. When connected to my amp, there’s also a constant and rather annoying buzz, even when I move away from other electronics.

I really hope this isn’t a resealed or previously used product. I could have bought a 'B-Stock' model, but I chose to pay more for a new one, however I do have some doubts about whether this particular guitar was actually new... Still, overall, I’m satisfied with it.

Great starter guitar

I bought this guitar with the intention of buying one that's a bit more advanced than a complete beginner one but still within an affordable price range, and I can definitely say that this one matched that perfectly. The body looks incredibly good and feels pristine, a downside is that the black part can collect dust quite quickly, but that's about it. The variety of pickups make for an excellent range of sound options. The neck is very good aligned by default, and it overall just feels very comfortable to play.
In conclusion, I would absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting to buy a high quality guitar within the beginner price range which u don't immediately 'grow out' of.
