Good amp for the BK Concert
Alien_Vamp 13.03.2024
I got this amp for my ButtKicker Concert, which is a 2ohm. Here are some ups and downs about this amp and the BK itself that I experienced while searching for the right amp. I found some amps in the USA online store, but they seemed more consumer or semi-pro to me than this amp.
This amp is designed for 4ohm operation, but newer versions of it work with 2OHM as well.
All the futures on the amp are useful and have no unnecessary faders and options. Just what you need. I also used a Thomann Rack Case 2U Shallow (366725)which is a perfect fit for it and has some space for the cables.
My biggest concern about this amp is that I wish they made a specifically 2ohm version with more power, since BK Concert can handle up to 1400 watts. However, it shakes well with just 400–600 watts at 2 ohms.
I tested the amp with BT Concert on the max settings with Sub-bass test samples, and it gave 1200w, but the amp got hot. So, it is safe to say that you can get pure 500–600 watts with no distortion.
