Joyo Jam Buddy II Black

At the time of writing, this little black (and pink, orange and silver) box of tricks is sold out for Christmas, and I know I'm a very, very lucky boy to have one, so here's a review to whet your appetite while you await their no doubt, soon restocking.
I'm a player of a certain vintage (think early 90s), and if you cut your teeth as a player back in the 80s/ 90s, you'll know just how difficult, and never ending, our quest for half-decent, affordable gear that didn't sound like horrendous vomit-crap. This is where you lucky young whippersnappers have it soooo good these days, in that it truly is a golden age for musicians (and yet, paradoxically the darkest, perhaps?), if I had my hands on this thing back in 92, I tell ya,,,you'd all for sure know my name by now 🤣 🤟.
Joking aside, this *is* a phenomenal piece of gear; the tones man,, my word,, the tones are awesome,,
I mean the size of this thing,, it sounds amazing. Nothing like my formative years here; cue nightmarish teenage memories of trying to squeeze decent sounds from a *Gorilla* practice amp (iykyk, if not, just google em, or ask your uncle Mike 😱).
The integral drum machine is basic, but hey, it works fine, won't steal your girlfriend, and never shows up drunk and/or late for practice!
The effects are really decent, giving you all you'll ever need for practice, even gigging, and if you need more, it takes pedals like a champ. The tones (and overall sound for it's compact size), are for me, what this little gem is all about, there aren't a lot of them available on the unit (14), but what joyo have given you here, are high quality, and extremely versatile tones, that have something for everybody. The Jam Buddy II sounds *great* lined out; and the Bluetooth function works pretty flawlessly as well, I'm just astounded frankly. Everything included in this package and executed this well, would have cost hundreds and hundreds of various monies not all that long ago,, now you can get all this for less than 100!
So, when they do come back in stock don't fight a Gorilla, just get one, you'll be rather pleased you did!

This little gadget is designed for electric guitar, but the combination of amp, speaker and being rechargeable made me, an acoustic player, try it anyway . And I wasn't disappointed..what a great little piece of equipment! Playing it acoustic works great, you do not have so many options for the amp choice but that's fine. I thought I might need a compressor in between for the signal but it picks it up great. In combination of the settings of the amp and the equalizer you can get a pretty good sound. A few things worth noting; by pushing the buttons your foot covers the display and partly the led of the pedal, so you it's a bit guessing if you are using the looper and deleting, but after a couple of days you get the hang of it. Another thing is you cannot control the volume of the looper, it would have been handy to have that separate from your input so you can put the looper more or less on the background. Good value for the money and great for taking along on a trip....

Rock solid - es fühlt sich einfach alles gut an (und sieht auch gut aus)

Man kann ein Stereo Line-In oder wahlweise BT reinwerfen und ein Instrument (Mono) und dann Line/BT und Instrument separat in der Lautstärke regeln.

Ich hatte den kleinen erstanden um ihn als Mini PA für das jammen mit
OP-1, Reface cp, ... und anderen einzusetzen wenn ich keine 220V habe, oder auf der Couch sitze.

Erster Test: Walkman angeschlossen für den Background und dann los.
Das Reface cp Mono angeschlossen (Der Buddy hat nur einen Mono Eingang für das Instrument). Das funktioniert perfekt und klingt perfekt!

Ich habe schon viel probiert mit BT Boxen aller Art - aber der Buddy ist
mit Abstand vom Start weg das praktischste und am besten klingende Teil, das ich bislang so genutzt habe. Das war spontane Begeisterung!

Der Line in für den Walkman hat keinerlei Klangregelung (muss dann am Zuspieler erfolgen), das ist aber kein Problem - er klingt einfach gut, rund, voll und ausgewogen.

Der 6.3 Mono Instrumenteneingang hat dann Einstellmöglichkeiten ohne Ende. Von EQ über diverse Effekte und Amp Simulationen. Das cp hat bislang an keinem BT Lautsprecher so gut geklungen!

Jetzt könnte man noch viel schreiben - aber ich habe ihn ja selbst erst kurz und bei weitem noch nicht alles ausprobiert. Jede Menge Effekte,
Ein zuschaltbarer Drum-Part und ein Looper! Alles in diesem kleinen Kasten. Gut die Knobs sind mehrfach belegt - aber das hat man schnell
raus, was wo liegt und wenn ich das richtig sehe, kann man Presets speichern.


Resüme: Handlich, praktisch, gut verarbeitet und rundum ein Powerzwerg. (Ich habe gleich noch einen bestellt.)

In meinen Augen ein No Brainer für die, die netzunabhängig jammen wollen.
