The KMS 105 has been developed for the optimal transmission of the human voice, making it the first choice for demanding live applications. With its low inherent noise, discoloration-free and crosstalk behavior of the cardioid/ super-cardioid the KMS-105 is ideal for a solo singer on stage! Pop, wind and handling noises are largely avoided through innovative filters. With its high acoustic resolution and linear frequency response, the KMS 105 provides the musician with optimal control of his voice and his language on stage at any time.

Neumann KMS 105: Everything I Wanted in a Vocal Mic

The Neumann KMS 105 is simply outstanding. After trying many stage microphones, this is the one that fits my voice perfectly. It delivers rich, full lows while keeping a beautiful amount of air and detail in the highs. The sound is incredibly natural, open, and polished, with true studio-level quality.

I use it both in the studio and for busking with an EV Everse 8, and the results are amazing in both situations. Outdoors, my vocals remain clear, detailed, and present, with excellent intelligibility and very little EQ needed. It captures every nuance of my voice while still sounding smooth and musical.

What impresses me most is how it combines the refinement of a studio microphone with the practicality of a live vocal mic. If you’re looking for a premium vocal microphone with exceptional clarity, airy highs, and professional-grade sound, the KMS 105 is worth every cent.

Why? Silver products don't have fingerprints.

Haha, of course, the sound is awesome.

Even if you record in an ancient Roman bathhouse, your voice will suck perfectly. It'll suck it in with fine detail and beautiful sound.

This microphone is absolutely amazing.
It is hard to control for live situation, but if the audio engineer is good, he can make it just the perfect microphone for singers.

As a jazz vocalist, the Neumann KMS 105 Silver is my absolute go-to: it brings that pristine studio clarity and every subtle nuance straight to the stage. It definitely demands some proper vocal technique since it’s so sensitive, but the feedback control is top-notch and handles live settings perfectly. It captures the true dynamics of my voice so well that I’d never swap mine for anything else!
