Bought to hold a snare V-drum also from Roland. Sits well on the rack, but the angle of the snare is rather hard to dial in and it’s sometimes lost. The keys are a little cramped and relatively difficult to tighten/adjust.
But a very good product nonetheless. Would buy again.

No problems here, a nice bit of kit which is solid and uses the right positioning of parts in the right place, relating to wear and tear, metal where needed, plastic where not...

I can definitely attest to the quality of the clamp and also the 'L' holder (for mounting your toms, snare, etc.).

The following may sound like pure vandalism, but just bear with me a moment... I once had to cut one of the 'L' holders to get the embedded metal part out of the plastic part... Still bear with me...

This I managed, and was done as I needed a smaller rod (without the plastic bit) for a home-made awkward area of my kit.

The point of this is that I, of course, was able to observe the inner part of the plastic part of the 'rod' - and it is superbly-made, with tabs on the rod itself to make sure it didn't twist when using it to hold your pride and joy.

The whole unit is made of really tough plastic and the metal for the rod, could be steel, but it's very hard to cut, whatever it is (this 'butchering' took me ages to do...)

Therefore - excellent design and build quality again from Roland...

The above procedure was purely for my kit needs and should not be tried without a safety net, emergency oxygen or ambulance crew standing by - and I would leave such things for those mad enough to do them (me, I think...)

Excellent clamp, by the way, if you got this far...
