I used one of the old blue Vandoren reed cases back in the day, off and on, the one with the desiccant capsule in the middle. I always got mouldy reeds with that thing not matter what, so I stopped using it.

This new version is a different story though! It has vent holes in it and it is much improved! I'm playing all the time so I never wet the sponge as there's always enough 'moisture' in the case coming from the reeds - as indicated by the colour changing patch. I'll be honest, I thought that was a gimmick at first, but no, it's actually very useful and accurate (for me at least). I love that it is clear too, so that you can see through it!

This is working well for me, and I'd recommend it!

ho comprato questo reed case 2 volte: uno per il tenore, l'altro per il soprano. devo dire che purtroppo non mi sono trovato benissimo: il ripiano sul quale poggiano le ance non è perfettamente piatto e questo fa si che con l'umidità la punta dell'ancia si deformi. Inoltre il pezzo di dentro (quello di plastica scura) viene via troppo facilmente (bisogna stare attenti ogni volta che si apre il case a non farlo volare via). con il tempo non tiene neanche più bene le ance (io lo uso da diversi anni ormai) che nuotano quindi nel case ad ogni movimento. inoltre la spugnetta che presumibilmente andrebbe bagnata, se lasciate il case al chiuso fa la muffa. direi un po' di problemi di design.
