Worked great, until it stopped, then resurrected again

Used as a monitor for in-house rehearsals, worked great for a couple of years, then all of a sudden it died. As it was out of warranty, I did not return it, left it a alone for a couple of weeks, then it resurrected. It worked again for some time, then died again. I sent it to a repair shop, they could not find the fault. Now it works, but I don't use it that often.
